Pico Technology

TEAM system, the U.S. Department of Energy profile
This summer, German physicist using a specially designed super-resolution electron microscope to measure the distance of only a few Pico, which they may open a new era of micro technology. Pico is the length of the unit, 1 Pico一万亿分之一the equivalent of 1 meter, sometimes in atomic physics known as the rice slightly. In recent years, from-the-art technologies microtechnology (1 micron is equivalent to one millionth of 1 m) to nanotechnology (a nanometer equivalent to 1 billionth of a meter) transition, but we may now be entering into technology Paper (picotech) of the times. In the United States Department of Energy TEAM (transmission electron microscope to correct the aberrations in the form of an acronym) system is expected to be operational in 2009. TEAM early version allows scientists to detect a single carbon atom.

在美国,能源部TEAM(透射电子像差矫正显微镜的缩写形式)系统有望在2009年投入运行。
